This Ticks Me Off

Why can't I be friends with whoever I want without someone saying "You're friends with her?" I mean really? Everyone needs a friend, and who am I to deny that right to them? People, this is america Land of the free. Get over it. My best friend doesn't like the fact that I'm becoming friends with another girl that doesn't have friends. She's nice, and I think she deserves a second chance. The past is the past for a reason. We can't hold it over someone's head like a raincloud for the rest of their lives. Forgive and forget.
